Protection rack-it
Like A.L. of Sevenoaks, any motorists must have found that, although their NCD is protected, their base premium has risen following a claim. Those over 50 could try Saga Insurance, which offer a guaranteed NCD that allows you to keep your maximum NCD no matter how many claims you make, and also promises never to cancel your policy or load your base premium as a result of claims. In my case this adds about £30 to the premium, compared with the normal maximum protected NCD.
