Start stop technology

I picked up a new Nissan Qashqai 1.6 on Wednesday, then on Friday it stopped whilst driving. It did re start, with trouble. Later the engine management light came on. I took it back to the dealer who stated the fault registered as the camshaft sensor. I have been loaned a car. I'm not too sure what to do next?

A failure of the camshaft sensor or crankshaft position sensor would stop the car. But once it's replaced, as long as the catalytic converter was not damaged by the misfires, you should have no further trouble.
