Rover returns

In April 2008 I had a new ABS modulator fitted to my 24,000 mile 2003 Rover 75. The same fault has now re-occurred and I am getting no sympathy at all from the Rover garage where the part was fitted. Surely a part that cost £750 should last longer than 20 months. I would appreciate your opinion and advice on this matter.

You are right, but unfortunately it probably only came with a 12 month
warranty. If replacing it with another solves the problem you could sue the supplier for originally fitting a part "not of satisfactory quality"
using the small claims track of the county court. If it doesn't solve the problem, then another part of the ABS system has failed; possibly the reluctor ring sensors.
