Bootiful

I am thinking of changing my 3-year-old, 14,000 mile, Peugeot 407 SW for three reasons: It is very low and it is not easy for my wife and I to get in and out (being on our seventies); my wife is very short and needs a cushion to see out when in the back; and, most importantly, at night oncoming headlights shine directly in my eyes causing dazzle for several seconds which I find very scary and rather dangerous. (Even my wife's Jazz is better in this respect.) I am considering a Peugeot 3008, which is much higher and fits most of our requirements except it has a small boot. We have a handicapped daughter who goes everywhere with us so we have three people's luggage and sometimes a wheelchair. Otherwise with some of the extras the 3008 seems very suitable. What do you think of the idea? What is your opinion of the 3008 and what other options do you think I should consider?

The 3008 does not have a small boot. It takes 512 litres. See video demonstration of the bootspace at:

The car is probably close to ideal for your needs. But if you want a low load deck for the wheelchair, then consider a Peugeot Partner or a Citroen Berlingo Multispace: Test but no video at: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road_tests/index.htm?id=336
