The service history of my car is stored digitally - what proof do I show the buyer in the absence of a stamped service book?
Like most modern vehicles, my 2016 BMW 3 Series service history is stored digitally and the dealer tells me the car key can even tell how much fuel is in the tank. If I were to sell my car privately at a later date, what proof do I show the buyer in the absence of a stamped service book? I would prefer to keep any bills with my personal details from potential purchasers.

You should be able to get a print-out of the service history of the car from the BMW dealer. But, of course, a sheaf of detailed service bills are always the most genuinely reassuring 'history' a car can have.
