Micra 54 brake problem
Have just bought a 54 Micra 1.2 manual 46,000 on clock, but finding that the travel on the brake is so short that it is affecting my driving enjoyment, as I have to slow down long before any junction to ensure I don't suddenly press brake pedal, otherwise I would be propelled through window if I didn't have my seatbelt on. The small company I bought from advises me that his mechanic is away until next weekend, and he thinks that he would have adjusted brakes if possible, but I have to contact him when he is back. However, as I have quite a bit of driving to do would be grateful for any advice.

Micras have brake assist and I would guess that in your case this is over active. Get it to the dealership to be fixed.

My Corsa has just failed its MOT because of a 'strong imbalance' between the L and R rear brakes. Apparently this could either be a distribution valve, or possibly the Master Cylinder.
