Lovely car but not ready for sale - lasted 48 hours
Firstly, this should be a fantastic car; it drives beautifully, the interior design is a delight, it’s quiet, comfortable, fast and very easy to drive. The ‘everything through the screen’ functionality is an acquired taste but not the nightmare that some auto writers claim it is. It’s easy to thread through busy streets but is also at home on the motorway.
But….
It isn’t ready; it is full of bugs and glitches. The mirrors sometimes adjust but often don’t,, the boot sometimes fails to open, or close or operate at all, the radio doesn’t work, the clock shows random times meaning that the timed overnight charge doesn’t work, the keys don’t work, it won’t connect to the internet and the screens glitch. It left us stranded after 48 hours of ownership and our dealer had to rescue us. Presently we have a courtesy car and whilst the dealer is doing what they can, but it feels like this is a car that was put on sale 6 to 12 months early. A massive shame as we really like the car but this has the potential to be a huge own goal for Volvo.
