Costly Maintenance

Bought new on a tempting 0% finance deal. Unfortunately, think I got a Friday afternoon job. Went into limp mode after 2 days, dealer said the ECU was "full of errors" and would neeed to be booked back in for a day to sort. When it went back in, they discovered they had wiped the error codes, so didn't actually get to the bottom of this.

High mileage mostly motorway use, avg mpg around 50. Constant problems with leaking fuel filters after every service, glo plugs carbonned up at 90k miles, causing another limp mode experience. Estimate of around 2k to replace them all. £30 for a replacement proprietry headlight bulb.

Having said all this, the vehicle covered 112k miles in 2 and a half years before a white van man wrote it off. Nice looks, plenty of room and solid (as white man van will testify) Huge depreciation (even without high mileage) - GET GAP INSURANCE, a lesson learned the hard way.

Wouldn't recommend unless you can pick one up for a song second hand.
