Vauxhall Meriva (2010 - 2017)
Exclusiv 1.7 CDTi (130ps) 5dr People Carrier
The nicest car we have owned.
We bought this car for its high driving position and ease of getting in and out.It has proved to be a very comfortable car and nice to drive. It is not the most comfortable ride, the suspension seems a little hard and, of course, the lower profile tyres it came with don't help. There is also a fair bit of road noise especially over granite chipping roads. That apart, we love it. It has now done 50,000 miles and stokes along quite quickly. It is a solidly built car, heavy doors and a feeling of being bullet-proof. It has proved reliable enough, I am still on the original wiper blades believe it or not and I am very particular about visibility. I had to have new rear discs at about 30,000 miles and Vauxhall would not replace them under the lifetime warranty saying iy was "fair wear and tear". I said they were of poor quality materials but they wouldn't budge. We only get about 40 mpg but it is so nice to drive we have decided to keep it a bit longer and only do about 8000 miles annually.
Altogether we do not regret buying this car. My wife loves it (except the colour-Pepper Dust, MUD she calls it) and is is easy to drive.
