Fantastic until they reach 70k

Amazing fuel economy, cheap to run and insure, basically the genuine modern mini with more room in the back than the German one, Boot like shoebox, Great handling, Will do a ton downhill with a wind behind it. Buy the 5 door and get a roof rack, Problems in 3 we've had: leaks from rear door seals, sticking throttle(on 2006 one), key lock in doors and boot wear out in 2 years so get one with remote locking, water pump like something from a fish tank lasts 70k, clutch listed as common fault but one of ours had OK clutch at 70k but the clutch fork/arm (solid metal bar) snapped in half so it seemed like a clutch fault but because of work needed best to get clutch done at same time. Told by dealer if they replace clutch they don't replace the fork so it can break later on. Fantastic little car but get rid of at 60k and let others bear the pain because when they get this old they start to mutate from a Japanese car into a French one.
