Understated elegance, puts up with rural road rallying
It's not without it's quirks... blasting the engine to clear the DPF every now and then, or burning through headlights on a twice yearly basis... however, for a few hundred quid a year in non standard maintenance with c. 25-30k miles driving... It's a hell of a lot of fun turning heads when you blast past a Focus RS or M3. The acceleration in the 50-80 bracket is genuinely thrilling - have tested against a friend's 911 and held it's own in that range for a few seconds - not bad for essentially a family saloon that runs on fumes. When you want to cruise... this will do 100 miles for about 15 quid... so yes, it'll break your heart at times... but if you love Saab... it doesn't matter!
