Renault Arkana (2021 on)
1.3 RS-Line 140 Mild Hybrid Auto.
Comfortable, reasonable economy and adequate performance.
Bought this car new in June 2022, I'm a low mileage retired user, car at almost 2 years old has only covered 7k miles. I have found it to be a comfortable car with more than adequate performance (in fact it's easy to get the front wheels scrabbling for grip if you're not careful!). Economy-wise, I'm getting 44 mpg in general driving without using the 'ECO' or 'SPORT' modes, a bit more mpg on longer runs despite living in a very hilly part of the UK. Some of the 'driving aids' are in my opinion unnecessary, and I've not used either the lane correction or self-parking, electrically adjustable seats are pointless and unused. The only problem I've had from new is when filling the petrol tank, whichever filling station or pump I use, the pump is forever cutting out which might indicate the tank breather system is somehow blocked. This was reported to the supplying dealership at first service, was supposedly checked and stated to be ok, but the problem persists, and filling takes an age! As an owner not in the first flush of youth, the higher driving position is helpful in getting in and out of the car and the seating comfort is good, adaptive cruise control very useful on longer journeys. All in all, after almost 2 years of ownership, I am satisfied with the car and would say as a 7 speed Auto, it's a better purchase than the 1.6 'Full Hybrid' 4 speed Auto version.
