Peugeot 208 GTI (2013 - 2019)

Do yourself a favour and buy a facelift.
Bought used with 56k on the clock in October 2020. The first 6 months were a delight.
Fun to drive, deceivingly quick, good in the twisties. An all round fun hot hatch. However, that didn't last long and once it started having issues 6 months on, barely a couple of months go by without it springing a problem. In the last 2 and a half years it's had two high pressure fuel pumps at £1k each (fitted), low pressure fuel pump, new set of coils, thermostat housing, tensioner bolt replacing that causes a mystery oil leak, PCV valve, both vanos valves have had to be replaced, camshaft sensors, low oil pressure warnings and that's just the issues off the top of my head. It's cost me north of £3k in repair costs in only 3 years of ownership. Hands down the most unreliable car I've ever owned. Facelift models apparently don't suffer the majority of issues as the pre facelift so if you do consider buying one, for your own sake buy a 2016+ model.
