Nissan X-Trail (2007 - 2014)

Sport 2.0 5dr
It does all that I want of it, including off-road/snow work in the north of Scotland
This is the second XTrail (first was a 2004/04 2.2Dci) and it is much improved with the 2.0litre 173hp deisel engine. It tows my caravan at 1600kg with ease (around 25mpg disregarding the Scottish mountains) and I am never embarassed for lack of power. I like the satnav but a shame it cannot take post codes as well. The reversing camera for someone in his 70s is a godsend. I like the steering wheel controls and have not had any problems with finding switches by feel. I would buy another.
Problems: A noisy door actuator which was replaced under warranty; some corrosion on the tail gate where the chrome grip meets the paintwork (had the same problem with the previous car, a 06 Pathfinder Sport, so there may be an interference problem here.) Also fixed under warranty. I too think the rear side windows are poorly shaped.
