Nissan Pathfinder (2005 - 2014)
2.5 dCi Sport + Technology Pack 5dr 4 X 4
Dissapointed
I had been running a SWB Terrano for a couple of years mainly to cart my mountain bikes around in and decided to try the Pathfinder, looked long and hard foe a low mileage Sport model with the technology pack.
Problems started from day one, issues with the central locking and the keyless entry, problems with the electric windows as well.
The main problem was the horrific fuel consumption, I was used to getting 32-35mpg out of my Terrano but struggled to get even 25mpg out of the Pathfinder, even when driving as economically as possible.
The car was very uncomfortable on long journeys and the cabin was very cramp compared with my Terrano. The internal build quality I thought was very poor and the plastics marked very easily, the sat nav was a complete pain to type addresses into and ended up resorting to a window mounted item. The car handled like a boat on the corners and wasn't very refined on the road.
The good points were a huge boot and the reversing cameral was very good. Overall I wouldn't recommend this car and have since sold it and purchased a late low mileage LWB 3.0Di SVE Terrano which is excellent and cost a third of the price of the Pathfinder, I'm getting over 35 mpg and it goes like stink
