Nissan Cube (2010 - 2011)
Basic Model
Very Clever Design
I've always liked the since I saw a first generation model when it was first introduced. I was very pleased when in 2009 Nissan announced that the model would be available officially in the UK for the first time. However when the list prices were announced the most basic model cost well over 14K plus when I tried to get a test drive, no dealers seemed to have a demo vehicle available yet. However later in the year in my local paper the Nissan dealer was discounting £5500 of the list price so I bought one, I found the Cube very easy to live with as I live in a small town and it has very light steering and is nippy and manuverable I found the clutch a little light for my tastes and I did find because of the car's styling it's not as easy to judge distances as you'd think so I'd advise getting parking sensors fitted. As you would imagine there's plenty of room inside lot's of headroom, the boot is adequate with a side opening door but has a high sill to get over plus there is a rather silly fabric cover instead of a shelf.Costs fuel maintenance and the road taxare a little on the high side. To sum up it's about the looks if you like it then get one it'll make you smile every day you get into it, the car is the perfect antidote to taking yourself too seriously.
