Mitsubishi Colt (2008 - 2013)
1.3 CZ2 5dr Hatchback
A good little motor
What an excellent car the little Colt is, despite being named after a young horse! We bought this car with low running costs in mind. The actual MPG, however is quite a lot lower than the official. That said, this car ticks all the boxes for us and the overall running expenses are very low. The front pillars do cause a blind spot, which one has to be aware of. The automatic transmission is generally excellent but, during urban driving, it can sometimes change down unexpectedly, but you can override this for a smoother drive. This car looks and feels cheap and simple, but not in a bad way. The build quality is very good and it feels solid. The seats are particularly comfortable and supportive. The Colt lends itself well to a bit of sporty driving as the handling is great and the engine sounds nice when revved. On a motorway the Colt feels like a much bigger car, it is quiet at speed and very smooth and refined. The sound system is very good and this model is well loaded with equipment, including cruise control and trip computer. The car is very practical and roomy for a car this size and the split fold seats couldn't be easier to use. One of the things we particularly like about this car is it is different, as there are so few on British roads. I think this car represents outstanding value for money, when you think about what you get and what you pay this car is a bargain and you can't go wrong with a Mitsubishi.
