Probably the best 4X4 Jeep or anyone else has produced

Bought as an ex demonstrator from a Jeep Dealer with just 2000 miles on it. It had a full tow pack and the entertainment pack with infra red headphones and drop down screen. We looked at the Discovery which at the time was £40k with similar spec but haunted by poor reliability. The Jeep should have been £34k new but as they were last of the line I paid £23k!!

Now 10 years on, we still have the car as a third vehicle and we will probably never sell it. The finish is still immaculate and it can act as a school run vehicle, limo, tow vehicle, van or serious off roader as required. Everyone loves it and its 'tough tonka toy' looks. Kids love the DVD system and MyGig storage system. Runs like clockwork and off road or in winter conditions it is superb. It is smooth, quiet, handles exceedingly well and quite quick when required.

In the 10 years since buying it has only needed regular servicing, one battery and one set of tyres after getting rid of the Goodyear Wranglers which did not last long. Used it in Germany at temps down to minus 21C and each morning it started perfectly and was great with its heated seats and powerful heater.

Seven seats with separate aircon in the rear are excellent and adults can use the rearmost on short journeys.

Only downsides are the RFL is hideous at nearly £600 per annum thanks to Government not understanding the need for such vehicles and it only does high 20s mpg on a run with 22 or 23 in normal use.

Biggest shame is Jeep do not make a luxury 7 seater anymore.
