Capable, still getting to know her

I have been a BMW driver since 1980 and have owned a number of vehicles in that time 3 and 5 series. It is disappointing to note that there build quality has dropped dramatically. So looking for an SUV with a Budget of £17,000 I looked at various marques. The Sante Fe looked the best on paper, it came with a good spec and I think is a good looking NON aggressive car.

It is actually 8 inches shorter that the previous 5 series I have owned. The engine is punchy, not very noisy. The storage is good with bins for glasses and sun glasses. Everything to fit well and the body panels also fit nicely. The mpg around town is quite a lot down on that claimed in the official mpg figures so I will keep an eye on this. It handles with with positive steering is manoeuvrable and easily do a U turn where my BMW's 3/5 could not. Xenon headlamps should be standard or at least an option, I may however invest in an aftermarket HID Kit. The car is a serious contender and of course the five year warranty is great.

I have also fitted a security chain to the exposed spare wheel, please take a minute to read this in the HJ Forum. Additionally I purchased a rubber boot map on Amazon £25.00 cut to size which is a really good idea and half the price of the dealership official accessory of a custom one, I am also going to by a rear bumper protector to prevent scratches on the top of the bumper when loading and unloading to prevent damage.

I did visit my local Hyundai dealership in north London for a small warranty issue, condensation in the headlamps, this is where the dealer ship fails compared to BMW, the front of house staff in the service centre are NOT as professionally trained as BMW Staff.
