Hyundai ix35 (2009 - 2015)
1.7 CRDi Premium (2WD) 5dr 4 X 4
Great family car - practical and reliable
Was looking for a practical soft-off roader, which was comfortable to drive on regular log commutes and can handle a growing family. The car met these requirements with ease.
Purchased ix35 when it was first released to UK. Had to join waiting list but was one of the first owners to take delivery & drive the 1.7 diesel Premium. (bit of gamble since I test drove a 2.0 4x4 version).
PROS: Good Points.
- Great level of equipment
- Panoramic roof makes cabin feel airy.
- Like the high driving position.
- Hyundai service and warranty excellent from local main dealer
- Reliability good thus far
Not-so-good Points:
- Speakers rattle. Despite replacing front speakers (x2), and replacing door skins rattles persist.
(I just turn the base down)
- Road noise is quite high for a premium model of car
- Sunroof would not close. Dealer stripped down and refitted roof- but think it is a design fault which can be remedied by lubing the rubbers on side of roof.
- r****** car horn - not safe in my opinion
- Boot light is inaffective
Faults with Car:
- Car speakers replaced due to rattles
- Car stereo replaced due to display issues on panel
- Replaced Mass Air Flow (MAF) - EMF light fault on dash
- Air con condenser replaced
Overall a happy customer.
