A car forever

While i come from another country, the trim levels have other names. I took S as version, but mine called Comfort.
More precise, it is a business edition. A comfort but with some extras.

I bought my Honda with the intention to set a billion on the odo.
This is a car for daily, and perfect to have a sports car next to it. Let’s say a Porsche Boxster or a BMW Z3.
But don’t mind the sports cars, a 2.2 i-Dtec is fast enough for a sporty ride. Sure, it is no Type R, but i call it my Type D.

As i own my Civic 9 years, it brings relax mood of it’s reliable character.
I bring it always on time to service when the board computer give the sign for service.
The motor oil level is always spot on.
Fuel consumption is low while i have a heavy right foot.
While my previous diesel car spit blue smoke out of the exhaust while i was in a Stig mode, my Civic is the opposite..
I can drive in any setting, no blue smoke seen in my rear mirror. It is amazing the DPF do a good job.
Carbon the same, it is almost a Prius.
I can drive renewable diesel without any problems, stronger said, it drive better on renewable diesel fuel than a 100% fossil diesel.

Downsides? Sure.
It is not a perfect car.
When i must change a light bulb in the headlight, it is very tight, so you must build off some parts to get better acces to the headlight.
Second, the battery have a hard life. So park my car for two weeks, and it is time to charge the battery. But the battery hold on for 5 years, Bosch.
The sporty steer is very direct, so no laidback driving. Be focussed, and the benefits comes when the road is full of bends.

Very good is it’s handling when the rain pours down. I drive with all weather tires, and it feels very safe.
The tires do not worn hard, and with Michelin it is amazing how long you can drive on it with my Civic.

The windscreen whippers are good. I use twin blades from Bosch.

The airconditioning is good, but not freezing.

No replacement of the windscreen.

Original exhaust on the car after 9 years.
