Honda Accord (2003 - 2008)
2.0 i-VTEC EX 4dr Saloon
Utterly Reliable
This is the smallest car I have ever driven. Before this car I had Swedish, German and British made Executive cars. They were always going wrong and I was getting sick and tired of breaking down due to stupid issues. My wife and another friend persuaded me to buy this car. It was not what I wanted, but I was so sick of quality issues, I decided to give a Honda a try. I bought used, as I was not going to keep it long, it was just to try. 8 Years later I still have the car. OK, it is not an Executive car and I am looking around for maybe a Legend. I cannot get used to the 2.0l engine, as I feel like I lack power, when overtaking. What is outstanding, is the fact that the car has not gone wrong. OK I have serviced it, replaced the steering belt, serviced the auto box, put tyres on it, but it simply has never gone wrong. I have absolute faith in the car starting, every time I turn the key. This is the first time in my life I have never had to repair a car in 8 years. Its the first car I have ever had, that has not had to be towed to the garage. Its the first car, where the depreciation is so small, as they hold their prices so well. Whilst I have not fallen madly in love with it, I have so much admiration for the way its built. My next car will be a Honda. I will not return to having to contend with unreliability.
