Ford Focus (2018 on)
2.0 Tdci 150 Titanium X Ecoblue 5dr
Very impressive to drive, let down badly by early reliability issues.
Improved in every area over mark 3; useful extra boot and cabin space for all. Well thought out features and easy to use tech. The drive is superb from smooth new 2.0 eco blue diesel, very torquey and gives an effortless drive. Overall very refined vehicle and a great every day car which is fun to drive as well when you push it. Much better on long drives than previous model Focus.
Unfortunately been let down by a wiring fault 2 weeks into ownership whereby the switches, interior lights and screen stopped working. This required door card, part of the headlining and dashboard removal to fix; took the dealer and Ford Technical over 2 weeks to repair.
Couple of weeks later the brake master cylinder failed, brake fluid spilled all over the garage floor.
Next major fault was a break down due to fuel injector failure - seemingly a known fault on 2.0 eco blue Ford diesel engines. Not great for a car costing c.£25k.
