A fantastic car that not many people seem to know about!
After having a Honda Jazz for seven years,I wanted a car that was easier to get into and out of and came across the 1.5 Daihatsu Materia,a car that was shorter than a Ford Fiesta or VW Polo but much higher, in fact even higher than a lot of SUV cars like the Nissan Juke! The Materia has been a revelation, the four speed automatic gearbox is even better than the Jazz CVT gearbox.Interior space is enormous and the rear seats slide forward if you ever need extra boot space. It's a shame Daihatsu only sold it in the UK for less than four years 2007-2011 (Less than 600 were sold) due to a poor exchange rate with the Yen/Pound,although it was still sold in Japan as the Daihatsu Coo and Toyota the parent company sold it as the Toyota BB.
