BMW 4 Series Convertible (2014 - 2020)
320d Convertible M Sport
A real joy to drop the steel roof and tear off into the Welsh hills close to my home !
After four saloon Jaguars on the run, I decided (along with my wife) to reprise my younger days in my Austin Healey and buy a convertible. This time, for the security, a steel - roofed version. No regrets, even though the ride quality, for various reasons, such as a shortened wheel-base, is not as comfortable as the last two Jaguar XF's.
Roof up, it's absolutely wind and rain-proof, which the Healey was not! The paddle-shift is tremendous, as is the feel of the sequential manual shift. The famous I-Drive is as good as I had read in the motoring press.
As I tend to be a 'push on' driver (Advanced by the way), the steering inputs and gearshift paddles are lightning quick and result in a relaxed but an exhilarating journey across country. I keep making excuses to take it out and enjoy the way I feel behind the wheel. Mostly with the roof down - even now, in November !!
