Audi A6 Allroad (2012 - 2018)
3.0 TDI 272 Quattro S tronic 5dr Estate
Expensive to own
Had this car for a year now. It is exactly what you'd expect - a very competent large four wheel drive estate and probably unique in the market.
It is very small inside considering it's bulk and is not a car I'd recommend for large families where you regularly have three in the back. Boot is tiny considering it's length. Parking is truly awkward and I made the mistake of not getting a reversing camera which is essential.
To drive it is fast and confidence inspiring but a little boring. It has almost consumed the Continental Sportcontact tyres after 10k of moderate driving. Fuel consumption;ption is good.
The four wheel drive has been tested on slippery well rutted tracks and it works really well. The variable suspension lifts you well out of the muck and on that score it is superb with the various setting for different driving conditions.
The depreciation has been staggering -it has dropped half its value in a year and that may be worse when tested. I reckon in two years you are looking at more than 60% in the current market but only if you keep an eye on the mileage.
