Audi A5 (2007 - 2016)
2.0 TDI SE Technik multitronic 2dr Auto Coupe
Beautiful car. Very well built and good to drive.
We downsized to the A5 from an older A8. What surprised us was how little was sacrificed in terms of comfort and refinement. The seats are very comfy and the driving position is, at least for me, spot on. Noise levels are very low and while the ride is less cosseting than the '8, that is due to be expected - this is, after all, supposed to be a sporty car.
The A5 handles well and is a lot of fun once you start to press on a bit, but will waft you up the motorway in near silence if that's what you need. Equipment levels are good and the stereo (despite not being the bose option) is very listenable. With the split-fold rear seats, practicality is also excellent - the boot is a good size in any event and with the seats down it can accommodate a large amount of luggage. My one criticism is the haiogen headlights which are a bit on the weak side - shame the original owner didn't go for the Xenon option.
A great car overall. I'd definitely have another.
