3.0 TDI quattro S line 245 S tronic 5dr Auto Estate

Lovely car when it's working, but oh so many issues due to over complicated systems

Since buying this car with 80K on the clock, I have done another 44K in the last two years. In that time I have had to have the DPF and EGR valve overhauled, the injectors reseated due to blow by and finally the DSG S-Tronic gearbox removed and overhauled, at a total cost of over £6000. I do not consider that reasonable for the age of this motor car which has had all the regular services carried out, including gearbox oil changes. I bought the car at market value of £12,000 so the additional costs have added another 50% to the cost of the car, not including normal services, which I would expect. I have been an Audi owner since 1998 (21 years) owning five different A4 Avants, but do not think I will be buying another, especially a newer model as they are becoming much to complex and with that complexity comes unreliability.
