A quality interior and a lovely smooth engine; what more could you want?

This is my second Audi A3 and it's even better than my previous car. The recent improvements are largely hidden from view but it is a much improved car all round.
Two things stand out for me: the plush quality of the interior, notably the dashboard; and also the beautifully engineered 1.4 turbo petrol engine, which is as smooth as silk and unbelievably brilliant. It's hard to believe it isn't a 1.8 or 2.0 litre engine, it's so quiet and responsive throughout the entire range. It's a lovely car, there are no two ways about it. Yes, it is quite expensive compared to its rivals but it oozes quality and refinement and is an absolute joy to drive. The only two tiny niggles would perhaps be it lacks a bit of room in the back seats and the suspension isn't soft and cushy like French cars but those two minor points apart it is a real gem and complete no brainer, worth every penny of its fairly steep asking price. A brilliant vehicle.
