I opened my car with the remote on Boxing Day only to find a flat main battery. AA installed a new one and everything was working fine. I drove the car a few times, but on 9 Jan when I went to the car I found the remote key fob did not work at all. AA came out again and said there had been a complete drain-down; recharged battery but could not resynch key fob. I've tried various methods suggested to me today to get back to remote, without success. What do you suggest I do? Should I disconnect main battery again?

I am perplexed as to why my radio continues to work after such a drain-down (AND I now discover that I do not have & never did have the radio security code), but the key fob does not ! How should I proceed please?

Have you followed the synchronisation proceedure as outlined in the owners manual? It's important you follow the correct proceedure. Also try new batteries in the remotes.

Yes, I have tried that several times. It has been suggested that the inbuilt SatNav may be jamming things up after the battery drain-down episode.
