MINI Cooper S - Condensation in rear lamp cluster - lolaminnie

I have a 5 week old Mini Cooper S that when it is washed the O/S/R lamp cluster starts to mist over - this is quite minimal to start with but then gets worse over a couple of hours to the effect that 3/4 of the lens is covered in mist. This lasts for 24 hours. I have taken it back to the dealership, who to be fair only saw the beginning of the mist and said that this was acceptable - I am not at all satisfied with this relpy as I can see the situation only getting worse - Why is it only affecting one lamp cluster - dealership couldn't answer that one. Any advise on the matter would be appreciated.

Not acceptable ask the agent to change it the reason being the seals are faulty.

Where do these expensive makes dealers get the staff from?

I'd be looking for another, competent, dealer.

an update for you - I kicked up a fuss and took the car back to show them after a large downpour of rain on 04.07.12 so they could see the droplets of water inside and they have now agreed to change the light.
