Citroen Xantia 2.0 HDi - How do I solve Peugeot/Citroen P0220/P0221 codes? - GMotors

Hello all,

There are a good few threads on the forum from people who have recurring APP circuit faults accompanied with the codes P0220/P0221 on their Peugeot/Citroen HDi's.

Does anybody know how to solve these codes as it never seems to be the sensor that is at fault...?

There is talk of a wiring loom trick but my Xantia doesn't match what others have talked about (i.e. Two MAF wires joining to one) and I'm running out of ideas to fix this problem! I'm almost 100% certain it is not the sensor. I get a management light on when driving, there is no loss of performance or poor running. All the fault code says is "Accelerator Position Sensor Circuit Improbable"

Any help would be appreciated. If I get a solution, I'll edit the subject to include [fixed] in the title so people can find the answer!
