Vauxhall Vivaro - my vivaro goes into limp mode - mollie1971

hi guys my vivaro goes into limp mode when the glow plug light comes on at 60mph.if i stop and restart the problem sorts until i hit 60 again.so i never go over 60mph.iv changed the mass air flow mtr,the boost pressure switch,something solenoid,sorry im not a mechanic.its doin my nut in any ideas anyone?im told to clean the egr valve

Yes clean or replace the EGR its the place you should have looked.

Past experience with these,and varients,has shown me there's a lot of faults that are down to shorts in the wiring.

Code reading is a must.

You could spend X amount of time and money to no good effect.

Oh and it'll be the turbo pressure switch,which is controled via the turbo pressure sensor,ok a known fault but they both are concerned with maximum turbo boost pressure.CODE READ IT!

I saw your post and wondered if you had resolved your limp mode issues,as I have the same problems at 60 mph,I have already bought a new maf and cleaned the egu to no avail,can you help!

hi there

no i still havent found the problem ive been living with it and just dont drive over 60mph.ive had the codes read.1826 heater plug circuit,1815 inlet air boost pressure circuit(which i have changed)1804 turbo pressure sensor(changed) 1814 egr function(also changed).its proper doin my head in.let me know if you find the problem
