Hi Everyone,

Will try and keep it brief with just the facts as have noticed other people with the same issue but more on diesel models.

I recently purchased a 04 Ford Mondeo LX 1.8.

While driving on the motorway i have noticed that when the fuel gauge gets to a quarter tank the car starts to loose power and splutter forcing me down the gears to a final stop.

Fill up with fuel and the problem dissapears?

No error codes reported?

Problem nerver seems to occur on A and B roads but on motorways averaging 60-70 MPH

Oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, coil and spark plugs all changed since purchase.

I read a thread about a possible fuel sender board problem? and ideas would be greatly appreciated.
