Peugeot 1.6HDi 110 - oil capacity - Rocketman

Could some one let me know the oil capacity with a filter change. This is a 2005 registered car but before the 2005 update/facelift.

I`ve been told it's about 3.8L but read some where that it's 4.2l. Confused, I am. Not a drama but just want to get some oil for an oil change. Would rather not get the 5l as it's cheaper for 4x1L.

Great price here:

I get most of my oil from Neilsens. Sorry in advance if I'm not supposed to post online shops...not sure of forum rules..

Thanks

PS will a normal 27mm (??) socket do to remove the filter housing or do you really need a deep socket??

The cars' handbook should tell you this, under 'capacities'. Otherwise, call your nearest Peugeot garage and ask to speak to the workshop??

Try any of the oil manufacturer's sites, like this one: www.commaoil.com/

Thanks for that guys, I didn't have to handbook handy as the car was away. It made a difference of about £2.00 so I bought the 5L... Useful link for Coma Oils site - thanks again. I'll hopefully get the service done in a couple of days...
