Following on from advice we read on a post regarding a rattling / knocking suspension noise on the Ford Mondeo http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/post/index.htm?t=88244 , we had a very similar problem on our Opel Zafira. It was successfully cured by replacement of both link rods and bushes.
