Chevrolet Epica - Chevrolet Epica diesel 1 year on - oldroverboy

So, now had the epica 12 months, For those of you who may not have read my owners review in Honest Johns used reviews, the story is as follows..

Aug 2010, searching for a fairly economical to buy new-newish car, looked at brand new kia ceed, then saw hyundai i30 classics a lot cheaper and went to look at a car supermarket (Ron Skinners) where i had previously bought a chevrolet aveo for an old friend. saw the epica in stock, all ex-chevrolet cars in lovely condition and a very attractive price. went home and researched a bit, and found my car for £6745 at Pentagon, Sheffield, 7021 miles on clock when i bought car over the phone, bit disappointed at the time about the condition the car was delivered in, but faults fixed under warranty and dealer service in swansea (FRF) excellent. (PS, Pentagon, you ARE forgiven)

Fuel economy has averaged around 40mpg (big heavy car) and better than 45mpg motorways to london, which we do once a month. 2nd year service cost at vauxhall network Q here in carmarthen extremely well carried out, and cost just £99 inc vat + parts +oil total was about £217 oil. air and fuel filters all changed, and brake fluid changed too. car left spotlessly clean too! (first year service done before delivery)

2 front tyres changed at about 16000 miles, (could have got more out of them but was going to do a lot of miles going to france-belgium and changed the tyres to have new tread on the wheels) very little wear on brake discs, and no recorded problems except a "change oil soon" light that came on 5000 miles after service, but 12 months after previous oil service, so maybe not reset. national tyres did oil change castrol edge turbo diesel, (6.2litres) for £51, so no complaints.

The car is comfortable and no untoward creaks or groans from the bodywork or dashboard. Seats very comfortable with good adjustment.

.

For the purchase price, a lot of car, pleasant to drive, bit rare on the roads, result, satisfied customer.

Finally a big thank you to Chevrolet customer services director Mark Cox who has been courteous in answering my queries.
