any - Will fitting LED bulbs to my headlamps improve mpg - 1litregolfeater

Having just fitted them to my bathroom, I'm impressed.

They seem to be available for cars, but I know nothing about this. I'd think that if they use less electricity, they ask less from the battery, so the alternator works less, so you get more mpg and save money.

Anyone tried this, is it worth it?

In theory yes, but the gains aren't big. The payback time would be quite long!
