whilst driving on motorway my car came to a halt,after calling AA out they told me my cambelt had snapped, I believe this car as a cam chain and a belt aswell, my local gaarge cant look at it for a couple of days,has anyone got any ideas as the possible damage and cost this will be, the belt was changed 50k ago, thanks

Sounds like your cambelt has snapped, sorry. The cost can be anything including well over £1k for a new engine.

If it failed after only 50k and you've had it changed once, either you have been very unlucky or a cheap belt was fitted and/or fitted incorrectly.
