Nissan Pixo Automatic - Limp Home mode? - pork_pie

Hi folks.

My parents own a Nissan Pixo ntec automatic and have had it for just over a year.

About a fortnight ago they were driving in town and for some reason they could not go faster than 20 mph.

Obviously the selector was in “D” and no warning lights came on. The car was taken in and was returned within a day saying they could find nothing.

Yesterday my father was driving from Huddersfield through the Pennines

After that “Highest Motorway in England” sign, Manchester was on the horizon and it was downhill towards Rochdale and said he could not go faster than 50.

Once again no warning lights appeared.

The car will be taken in this week but it is frustrating for the folks to be getting problems like this which reappear when they are apparently sorted. It is not a bad car by any means.

The old man wants to px for the model he sold the Pixo for – an Aygo MMT (eugh).

I'm sorry to hear about your Pixo issue. Anything in the Owners manual?
