Hi,

I've just purchased a 3 yr old 1.8 TDCi ford focus from a main dealer. On getting it home I realised it was leaking diesel all over my driveway. A quick trip back to the dealer and they identified that one of the injector pipes had come loose and they reattached it.

My question is, is this something I should be concerned about? Is it likely to indicate some other problem with the car or could it have damaged something in the engine?

It had just been serviced before collecting including getting some major interval items like filters changed. The engine was obviously covered in diesel but the dealer cleaned it up as part of the work. To be fair they have been very good so far and responded immediately to the problem.
