Please can anyone help.

I have a Peugeot 406 HDi 2.0 Glx (2001 Saloon).

When driving, lately there is a loss of power, and I get an "Airbag Warning" displayed on my multifuctions display, and the Battery, Handbrake and Oil lights illuminate on the dashboard, and also the Speedometer, Rev Counter, and Water Dial shoot to 0.

After a little while all warnings go out, except the AIR BAG illumination under the speedo, and all is fine, then 5 mins later it all happens agan.

I have just had the Alternator changed at a local garage, but it's happning again (the same day).

I am not very technically minded so in desperate need of help!!!!

probably a bad earth point on the vehicle or water on the bmi / fuseboard causing a bad short / earth.

Thats what I was thinking. I am dropping the car into my local mechanic's on Monday, and he will check out the BMI / fuseboard. s this a quick and easy fix?
