Hello bikers

I am looking to take a motorbike test this summer and I'd like to do one of those intensive course. I've got moped endorsement on my car license and I have occasionally ridden one but it is time to upgrade! I was wondering about the Direct Access courses as I am over 21.

Can anyone recommend a decent teacher/text centre in Lancashire? There's a lot to choose from and I think word of mouth is a good indicator in this case.

I'd also like some bike suggestions - it can't be too heavy and the seat height should be ok for someone barely 5'7".
