Think I'd have to take all 552 bhp of it for a long and serious test drive before condemning it as boring. I quite like the looks, not sure about the boot spoiler. It does seem that automatics are becoming the norm for ultra high performance cars which doesn't bother me too much as I'm not in the market for one - MX5, skinny tyres, slick manual is about my budget! .

Agree totally. What p***es me off is when BMW try and claim that they 3.0 Diesel has so much torque (425lb.ft) that it would shred the splines off a manual. Someone forgot to tell cummins-their 6.7 medium duty (800lb/ft) comes with a 6 speed manual, or The Corvette ZR1 (620lb.ft). Correction: BMW's gearbox can't cut the mustard! Even Cadillac(!) offer their CTS with a manual.

The auto only option is an embarressment to European cars. I don't care if it's theoretically faster, traction control, autos etc turns the driver into a steering wheel attendant. Why spend £50k+ on a car then get a computer to drive it for you???

If i spent 150k on a car i expect it to at least change gear itself.

And for it to be made of gold.

With its own television, wine cellar, horse racing track and hot tub facilities.

I went to Liverpool in 2008 for the Liverpool v Ar senal (you cant say a***nal on here? wtf? Spurs fan run the forum?) Champions League 1/4 Final, wonderful place and all but the garage i left the car in reminded me of Gone in 60 Seconds.

My car is lovely! Ignore the French element and all is well. Leather seats, goes like hell if you push it (not as good as the V6 obviously, but acceptable) and nice comfy leather, and lovely lovely CD player. What else is required?
