suburu legacy - problems with suburu legacy - daviskw

bought a new suburu legacy Jan2nd. Without any warning could not change gear when driving, dealers said there was no lining on the clutch and asked what I towed - I said nothing but a wheelie bin.

New clutch fitted and after 4 weeks, this went with no warning. 2 clutches in 4 months and 3000 miles!

All suburu UK said was " excessive towing" while the dealer asked if I drove with my foot on the clutch. The dealer has put in a third clutch withou any authority from suburu UK and asks why don't I collect it and it will not affect my legal position. I don't feel inclined to do so and have asked for a replacement. What do people think?

Three clutches is clearly excessive for the age and mileage but you have no automatic right to a replacement vehicle - at least not at this stage. The dealer has fixed it under their Sale of Goods Act responsibilities. If it goes again in an unreasonable amount of time then you need to come back to me.
