Lotus Elan - Battery polarity change - boschman

I wnat to change the polarity of my 1968 Lotus Elan from positive to negative earth I have't a radio and I am changing from Dynamo to Alternator will any other items need to be changed?

As long as there is nothing electronic on it, should be OK - does it have a clock?

Electric engine cooling fan and heater fan could end up turning the wrong way.

I think most electric motors back then had a wound field so should still rotate in the right direction - but a rev counter is a good point.

Also check all the relays as some may have back EMF arrestor diodes in them so the coil has a polarity. Regards Peter
