Suzuki Swift - Car wrote off but not showing on database - susyswift
I had a accident in my car over a year ago and it took over three weeks before the insurance company wrote it off, I got money back for it then got another car and that was the end of it. Until the other day I was looking at another car and paid to check for the history and that came up as a cat d as that was what the dealer said it was. So out of curiosity I put the reg of my old car above that I apparently wrote off. Well it wasn't registered as wrote off so I sent the company an email to see if it was a mistake but they checked it and it definitely isn't written off. Do u think I should speak to the insurance company I wrote it off with to find out y it isn't registered as written off?

The chances are that it was not recorded by the insurer (sometimes happens). The most common reason for unrecorded salvage though is when drivers who only have third party insurance but have had an accident that was their fault (usually not involving anyone else) and the case is not dealt with by an insurance company.

Forget it, move on, it's not your car any more. Why the concern?
