Hi There,
I'm really stuck with my car now, it is intermitently cutting out and not restarting. The problems leading to this are;

1. Noticed a rattle appear from the engine and took it to my local garage asking them to see what was wrong specifically 'is it the timing chain?'
2. Local garage says the vacuum pump and chain was worn so replaced this. Whilst doing this work they said the timing chains were all worn out.
3. Re-booked and replaced the timing chain with the local garage.
4. Car then started cutting out intermitently. Then not starting again. Idling too low.
5. Took it back to the garage and they couldnt see any faults.
6. Repeated steps 4 and 5 again.
7. Lost all patience and took it to the nissan main dealer. They have no idea what the fault is! The only way to check the work done on the timing chain is to pay another £300 labour charge.

What can I do? I just feel like I've been milked and left with a un-useable car. Any Advice is appreciated

Ps. if the garage had done thier job properly on point 1 and diagnosed the timing chain i would have sold it thousands of pounds ago!
