I got a check light a couple of weeks ago and it reported a cylinder 2 misfire. I changed the HT leads which solved the problem for about 10 miles. I then replaced the coil pack which significantly improved the drive quality. The light has since come back on. The car drives better than it ever has, there is no loss of power and it idles comfortably. The garage do not know what the problem is. They said that they don't think there is a problem just a faulty sensor. This can't be the case because the sensor reacts at the same point every time it is reset. There is nothing random about the check light coming on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
