I've jst had a wasted journey to see a VW on ebay. It's a shame the vendor described car as driving 'spot on' when it doesn't. The vendor knew this. Why can't people just be honest in the description? A few moths ago I saw a car advertised in minute detail. The seller did this because he didn't want to run the risk of negative feedback.

And from the other side i'm an honest and like to think honourable person selling a vehicle that's probably the best available and certainly the best maintained of it's kind anywhere.

I agreed to keep this vehicle for a particular 'genuine buyer' who hasn't turned up this morning as he promised faithfully, and have indeed turned away several others such was the verbal gentlemans agreement we had.

Again i've been a fool and assumed that there are one or two men of honour still alive in this country...you know the sort, a chap who's word means something.

Yet again i realise the English gentleman who's word is good no longer exists.

SWM thinks i'm barmy for even thinking that men of honour exist any more, she's right but you can only live in hope.

I feel for you TL, honesty and it's associates are extinct.

Nothing worse than waiting in for someone who is not considerate enough to let you know they are not going to turn up!

EBay or anywhere else, it has to be first come first serve, at least until they leave a deposit. Years ago I even had somebody leave a deposit and I never saw them again!
